What are User Groups?
BLOX User Groups are admin-defined permission groups that are used to grant admin users access to specific BLOX applications and functions. Admins can either be a member of a single group or multiple groups. If an admin doesn't have the required permissions, they will be unable to access the application or functionality altogether.
User Groups can be managed within the Community User Accounts Application Settings beneath the Groups panel.
What is the benefit to using User Groups?
Establishing User Groups can be highly beneficial in preventing unwanted site changes, especially for large teams. When only key members have access to certain applications, the likelihood of inadvertent changes is greatly reduced.
Workflows
When it comes to using Workflows, User Groups must be setup prior to taking advantage of this feature. Workflows are a series of publishing milestones that dictate when content gets published to the website.
Having an effective Workflow in place is important for ensuring that only web-ready content gets published. When Workflows are set up correctly, assets will be set to Do Not Publish when created, and can then be either promoted or demoted by each staff member assigned to that workflow.
