How to create a Vehicle ad

To create a new Vehicle ad, within BLOX Classifieds select +New at the top of the Search Results panel and then select Vehicle. This will populate the New asset panel where the required information can be completed to build the asset.

Vehicle ad requirements

Vehicle ads support a wealth of options, but only require the following:

• Asset title
• Ad text
• Category tag
• VIN
• Vehicle details

Building the asset  

Title: Add a meaningful ad title.

Priority: The default value is null, or 0. Enter a value here to signify higher importance for the day it's published.

Ad Text: This is the text area where body copy for the ad may be composed.

Year: The year the vehicle was manufactured. 

Make: The vehicle make. 

Model: The vehicle model.

Stock#: If the vehicle being sold is associated with an auto dealership, a stock number can be included. 

VIN: The VIN, or Vehicle Identification Number, can be entered to automatically populate the Info section with information that relates to your vehicle. Enter the VIN, and then select the magnifying glass to populate the Select a Vehicle window. Select the vehicle that best matches your vehicle, and then select the OK button.

Business: Associate a dealership with the ad.

Start Date/time: Use the date/time tools to specify when the ad should be available to readers.

End Date/time: Use the date/time tools to specify when the ad should no longer be available to readers.

Complete general vehicle information 

Condition: The condition of the vehicle. Options include: New or Used.

Certified Preowned: Choose whether or not the ad is featuring a certified preowned vehicle or not. Options include: Yes or No.

Carfax URL:

Transmission: The transmission type of the vehicle. Options include: Automatic or Manual.

Price: The price of the vehicle. Decimals are supported in pricing.

Sale Price: The sale price of a the vehicle (if applicable). Decimals are supported in pricing.

Color: The color of the vehicle. Options include: Silver, Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Green, Beige, Gold, Brown, or Yellow.

Trim: The trim of the vehicle.

Engine Type: The vehicle's engine type.

Drive Train: The drive train type of the vehicle. Options include: 2WD, 4WD, 4x4, AWD, FWD, RWD, FF, FR, MR, or RR.

Fuel Type: The fuel type of the vehicle. Options include: Unleaded, Leaded, E-85/Gasoline, Gasoline Hybrid, Diesel, Electric, or Compressed Natural Gas.

Mileage: The mileage of the vehicle. 

Miles Per Gallon: The fuel efficiency rating for the vehicle.

Fuel Capacity: The fuel capacity of the vehicle.

Listing Type: The type of ad listing. Options include: For Sale or Wanted.

Phone: The phone number for the person to contact about the ad.

Private Party: Choose whether or not the ad is being sold by a private party or not. Options include: Yes or No.

Contact: The contact person for the ad. Select the blue Add button to search for a user within the BLOX CMS admin to associate with the vehicle ad.
