This release of BLOX Total CMS Client for Adobe InDesign adds a "Fill Page" option to our Automated Production initiative and a score for the Print Placement Priority value. Automated Production needs to be enabled before a site will see these features.
- An Automated Placement Score is now assigned to the Print Publication Placement value in the browser's Print tab. This interacts with the Placement Priority settings to establish a placement score for the assets.
From a logical standpoint, it is easy to argue that the Display Priority would be simpler since it appears in more places. If your site doesn't use Display Priority to control locations, please use it instead of Print Priority, but you should also adjust the Placement Priority settings. (INDESIGN-3597)
- There is a new Placement Option when using Automated Production. A menu offers One, One +, and Fill Page user modes. The default, One Choice, makes Automated Production work as it always has, where once an asset has been placed, the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign waits for user interaction.
The One + mode will place the selected asset but then automatically re-open the Asset Manager to allow the user to select the next asset. This is a great choice for users who want ultimate control.
Finally, after the user selects the first asset and location to place, the Fill Page option will continue placing budgeted assets on the page until the page is full. Automated Production requires BLOX Digital to enable the functionality. (INDESIGN-4014)
